Feature Review:

Iron Man - Robert Downey, Jr. brings charmisma galore to this Marvel Comics superhero role and it is hard imagining anyone else pulling it off with such panache. Director Jon Favreau (Swingers, Made) keeps things moving for the most part. Despite all that works with the film, the plot is pretty much by the book and the final fight scene is a bit of a letdown. Still, this is an interesting enough first installment to look forward to the inevitable follow-ups. Hip, funny, and loaded with cool special effects this flick is certain to keep you entertained for the duration. Rated PG-13.

The Grade: B

Made of Honor - Patrick Dempsey and Michelle Monaghan star in this slightly above average romantic comedy. Both are very likeable and the laughs come at regular intervals. Overall it is too long (two hours) and mostly forgettable once you leave the theater except for the blatant political jab at Bill and Hilary Clinton that opens and closes the film. Rated PG-13.

The Grade: C+
