The New World - Director Terrence Malick is talented but a bit misguided. Visually this film is extraordinary but it is very boring to sit through. Especially because it's three hours long! Perhaps, telling the story of pilgrim John Smith and Pocahantas (for the millionith time) wasn't a good idea. Add to that, whoever edited this cinematic marvel, left their logical at home. It's not too hard to keep it linear . . . A . . . . B . . . C+ is the grade. Rated PG-13.
