Tim Burton's Corpse Bride - A visual treat to say the least. With a nifty little story line and plenty of humor we've got a special movie on our hands. Best Animated Film since The Nightmare Before Christmas. Light years better than Burton's recent remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Rated PG. The Grade: A-/B+
P.S. And the running time is only 75 minutes. Life and Death is best when it is short and sweet.

Flightplan - This is a rather contrived but tense and entertaining thriller that only has one major failing, which is that it is a major rip-off of a 60s film called Bunny Lake Is Missing. Oh well - Originality and Hollywood don't mix anymore. Jodie Foster, with another steller performance, manages to make it worth watching, although not necessarily for full price. Rated PG-13. The Grade: C+
